The Lilliput 7" LCD screen (also available via eBay and mp3Car.com) is mounted where the original car radio was. We removed the radio, took precise measurements, and then had the acrylic cut to the exact size of the opening in the dash. This way, the LCD fit perfectly, and maintained our requirement for making it look OEM.

We moulded tabs from other parts of the dash in order to mount the LCD bezel for easy removal when necessary. We would have used double DIN mounts, but none are available in the US, and they're hard to find even in the UK.

Finally, the front case of the screen was cut out and glued to the acrylic frame. Bondo (auto body filler) was then used to make the acrylic and bezel look like one piece, achieving our desired OEM look (after 20 hours of sanding and painting, of course...)
