Rock promises none of its batteries will blow up
Notebook maker Rock has been on the horn to reassure us all, in light of the recent spat of exploding notebook batteries, that none of its products are at risk of playing "Pretend I’m a grenade."
Rock has said that none of its notebooks have been fitted with Sony battery cells in the past two years. So Nick Boardman, CEO of Rock, has issued a statement saying "Its [That’s "it’s", as in "it is", not "its" as in possessive -Comma-Nazi Ed] vital for rock that our customers feel confident in the brand they are investing in. We’ve worked hard over the last ten years to build a great reputation. When something like this happens in the industry it has a knock on effect. We thought it was important to issue a statement to reassure existing and potential customers that we are a brand they can rely on."
I couldn’t agree more. So rejoice, ye Rock notebook owners, for if the company is to be believed (and we’re ever the optimists), your prized possessions are not likely to be lost in a horrific exploding laptop incident. Congratulations.
