Robert A. Moog (1934 - 2005)
The man credited with crafting an electronic device into a true musical instrument, known throughout the world as the inventor of the synthesizer and the synthesizer, in his own right, of a creative ideal, Robert A. Moog, succumbed to brain cancer yesterday afternoon. Moog died peacefully, according to reports, at his home in Asheville, North Carolina.
