Ritek leads global Q3 DVD, CD-RW disc shipments
Ritek accounted for 20.0 percent of the total global shipment volume for DVD+R/-R discs, 21.5 percent for DVD+RW/-RW/-RAM (rewritable) discs and 18.7 percent for CD-RW discs for the third quarter of this year, the largest market share of each sector, according to Japan-based market research firm Fujiwara-Rothchild.
India-based Moser Baer India (MBI), though, topped all Taiwanese makers in CD-R disc shipments for last quarter, mainly because leading Taiwanese makers have been shifting production focus from CD-R discs to DVD discs, according to industry sources.
