RIAA files more lawsuits against students
The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) filed 91 new lawsuits this week against college students from many universities - including 3 new ones against students at Rochester Institute of Technology.
The RIAA alleges that the students used the i2hub file-sharing program over the schools’ Internet2 connections and swapped songs. These new lawsuits come just a month after 405 similar lawsuits were filed in April. The Internet2 is a network - like the Internet - that is shared between many universities.
