Reorganized Claria to launch personal home page adware generator
In a sweeping attempt to redefine itself without repositioning itself, adware manufacturer Claria this morning announced the naming of a new president/CEO and executive vice president, along with a renewed focus on what the company is calling its "opt-in personalization platform." PersonalWeb, states this morning’s press release, will be a software tool for individuals to create their own start pages for the Web, complete with behavioral tracking that enables the placement of targeted advertising for those home pages.
