Recalls in the news
NEC is recalling something less than 300 notebooks because of flaws in a batch of Transmeta's Crusoe chips. All the effected notebooks were shipped to the Japanese market. The Crusoe problem has been repaired. Also, computer retailer Best Buy has implemented a store-wide recall of Pentium 4 PCs manufactured by Hewlett-Packard Co., so that a previously reported BIOS bug could be fixed by HP.
