C&C Generals Demo

The game is the latest creation in Westwood's C&C real time strategy game series. It features DirectX 8.1 pixel shaders but details are hard to find out. We had to do some modification in the engine to use this popular game as a benchmark. We modified the gamedata.ini (included in big.ini) to disable the fixed framerate setting.

We measured the performance of a replay we made in the china mission of the demo by using FRAPS.

Using no quality enhancements we see all cards close together in C&C with a clear lead for ATI's Radeon 9800 cards.
