Razer Releases Imperator Mouse for Righties
Another Razer mouse! Gotta catch 'em all!
Razer is adding another new mouse to its lineup just before Thanksgiving. Razer this week introduced the Imperator, a right-handed ergonomic mouse for "palm and fingertip gamers," who make "aggressive mousing movements."
The Imperator sets itself apart with an adjustable position of the side buttons, allowing for the perfect position regardless of how a gamer holds his or her mouse. The device also features a 5600dpi Razer Precision 3.5G laser sensor.
"Ergonomics and control were the key objectives with this mouse" said Robert Krakoff, president, Razer. "Your grip stays locked and planted no matter how often you lift and swipe your mouse while playing. One of the typical complaints of gamers is the difficulty in reaching the side or thumb buttons on a mouse. We have pioneered adjustable side buttons that slide and lock into your ideal thumb position. You just can’t get a more custom tailored fit than the Razer Imperator."
The mouse, priced at $79.99 or €69.99, is available now direct from Razerzone and will be in stores late December.

is it wrong to fall in love with something you have never experienced?
1. logitech mice are much higher quality and less like a christmas cracker toy
2. the latest razer drivers cause explorer.exe to contantly crash in windows 7
only get a razer if you like to pretend you're a razer-sponsored progamer.

Bullshit, Razer's build quality is just as good as Logitech (I personally dont own a logitech mouse but have used several before, but I do own a G11) also using a DeathAdder with the latest drivers and not had a single crash in Win7 whatsoever, let alone because of them.
No option for lefties so they can go screw

probably a bit harsh to bad talk the drivers, because i've never used logitech drivers either. i'm totally against installing stuff i don't need - especially when it insists on running in the background.
i installed latest drivers for diamondback several times in windows 7, and each time would break the context menu. any right click on desktop or an icon, explorer would crash and restart. uninstalling razer drivers instantly fixed the problem.
however, i've been heavily using my diamondback for 3 years, it started great and then began falling apart after about a week. it's still in working order so i can't justify buying a new mouse.
i know a lot of die hard gamers online through UT, CS, TF2 and COD and most of them have tried the new razer mice and gone back to the more natural feeling, comfortable, (usually)reliable mx518 or g5 mice as opposed to gimmicky mice that look like something out of a sex shop to show off to your mates.

I find that slightly ironic considering how the mx518 looks!
I actually would agree with the diamondback being a bit dodgy, after using a mates one it put me off Razer for a while, all their other mice however do seem to be very well made in comparison.
i'll stick to my cm storm sentinel
Looks slick and simple..the price is quite expensive..
Using a Lachesis in win 7 64bit without any drivers since i set it up previously in Vista and saved all the options etc i wanted onto the mouses internal memory.
Ace.
Buy a cheap mouse (£5). And it will be worth it. I owned many people in game with that mouse.
(A cheapo mouse from Asda).
I'm using a Lachiesis and a Copperhead, both work fine. Best mice I've ever owned. I'm on 7x64 and x86, never crashed.
I just can't justify the extra £10-20 for this over the DeathAdder. Is it really worth spending that much more just for some sliding buttons and Razer Synapse?

Of course, this is a slightly ridiculous question seeing as we're talking about €50-70
Ah, another mouse with no left-handed version.
I'm right-handed, but so many years of gaming have given me some sort of arthritic pain in my right-handed trigger finger. I can use a left-handed mouse, but no one makes a decent mouse that fits the left hand, and symmetrical mice just don't cut it.
