Rambus Inc. stock lost a third of its value when Electronic News reported that a US judge had made a ruling that would end many of Rambus' patent claims against Infineon Technologies. The statement was later retracted but the article's writer has, in part, defended his story. While admitting that no ruling was issued, he says that highly placed sources indicate that such an order could come forth soon.
