Rambus execs talk
ElectronicNews has interviewed two top Rambus Inc. executives. Asked about the animosity that exists toward his company, President Dave Mooring says, "Really, from a business-model, technology-development-partnering perspective, I wouldn't change anything." He did, however, say he would have spent more time on market education so that more people would appreciate what Rambus is doing as an R&D hub and as a snowplow for the industry.
Rambus is currently undergoing a preliminary investigation by the US Federal Trade Commission in response to charges that many of the company's most important patents were based on information put forth at the JEDEC standards deliberation body.
