Rambus drops ITC complaint against Hyundai
On the same day that the US International Trade Commission (ITC) agreed to investigate charges by Rambus Inc., that Hyundai Electronics Industries is shipping chips to the US in violation of the California company's patents, Rambus filed a motion to dismiss its complaint. According to the company, this is part of a venue change apparently meant to consolidate its legal efforts, though there is some industry skepticism that the situation is that straightforward.
