Rambus denies slow RDRAM uptake
Last week, memory makers Hyundai MicroElectronics, Infineon Technologies AG, and Micron Technology Inc. all reported weak demand for Direct Rambus DRAM from PC makers. All three, incidentally, are currently in legal struggles with the Rambus Corp. over its memory technology patents. Marketing VP Avo Kanadjian says NEC Corp., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., and Toshiba Corp. are already shipping high volumes of the memory.
