Queen Rumoured to Have Ordered Apple iPad
She'll want to get Angry Birds and Cut the Rope as soon as possible.
It’s been two years since the first iPad launched and tablets have since taken the world by storm. Though you may have decided to wait just a little longer to see where pricing and the market in general is going, our reigning Queen has decided its high time she hopped on the tablet bandwagon.
The 85-year-old monarch apparently decided she wanted an iPad after receiving a demonstration from Princes William and Harry. The Telegraph reports that over the years, the Queen has gradually become more technologically-inclined. She’s had a phone for about a decade, which she upgraded to a BlackBerry in 2007. She also got her own email address in the same year. Obama gave her an iPod in 2009, and in 2010, she visited the RIM HQ in Canada and was gifted with a brand new white BlackBerry Bold.
However, it’s not just gadgets that the Queen is embracing. The British Monarchy is on Facebook and Twitter, along with Clarence House, and there’s also an official channel on YouTube.
Reports of the iPad purchase have yet to be confirmed, and a spokesperson for Buckingham Palace declined to comment. Still, if there’s any truth to it, we imagine her Highness will be a bit peeved if those iPad 3 rumour comes to fruition.

The monarchy is lame.
All this is, like any politician, is to make them more relatable to the general public.
Lame!
