Quantum launches low-cost Fireball
Quantum Corp. has announced its new Fireball lct desktop hard disk drive, the first product in a new, low cost line.
Achieving rotational speeds of 5,400 RPM, the Fireball lct ships at capacities ranging from 4.3GB to 26GB. The drives are designed for sub-$700 PCs.
Customer evaluation units are currently available. The Fireball lct will ship in production quantities in September.
