QOTD: How Big Is Your PC Display?
I remember when my 12-inch yellow monochrome CRT monitor was the pinnacle of desktop display technology. Alas, those memorable days are gone.
These days, most people use LCDs for their computer, and some still are using a venerable CRT monitor. The debates still rage on in regards to which technology provides a better image quality. However, when it comes down to enjoying games or movies, size is what counts.
The question of the day is: How big is your computer display?
Maybe you own a 30-inch monster. Maybe you own more than one of them! Let us know.

I have Hanns G 22'(21.5 viewable) 1680x1050. Hoping to upgrade to a Samsung 23' (1620x1080)
at home 15.4" laptop screen + 19" 16:9 monitor and second computer with 17" CRT
Uni/work 2x 19" 4:3 monitors
THIS big
Seriously though I have a 22" widescreen LCD running in dualview with my 13.3" laptop screen.
The big screen is one of the best investments i've ever made in terms of PC components. The extra resolution and quality, as well as being able to use it at the same time as my laptop montior, is wonderful. I don't think I could ever go back to a small single screen.
3 30" 305T's, can't go back
32" mirai tv
kicks ass with the PinP feature
running it through a hdmi port gives a far better picture than the vga option
24" Dell 1920 x 1200 - Best IT Purchase i ever made
22 inch benq
2 x 22" Benq - 1680x1050 - plays HDDVD & Blu-Ray nicely (though obviously not at full resolution).
I have a dell 3008WFP although its my forth one .. no I'm not a monitor hog (on this occasion) just the first 3 failed .. first glowed white in the centre of the screen after about 10 mins (heat expansion)
the second had a gash .. inside of the screen .. and the third flickered when it got hot .. so far this one has been fine .. touch wood lol
but i have to say customer service has been excellent
1 x 24" Acer 2416W although I usually play on 42" Panasonic plasma. Thinking Samsung or Dell 30"...
Other. Always pick "other" in a questionnaire. You never know who they are going to sell the data on to.
I got a big monitor.
Anyone else cursed with a 15.4" LCD on a Dell Latitude D830?
Cursed, you ask? Yes! Mine runs at a ridiculous 1920x1200 and I can't read a bl00dy thing without a magnifying glass! I also have a 22" Dell E228WFP running 1680x1050 in dual display. But that's not great either as the laptop only has VGA output and I've got fizzling pixel crawl!
/Annoyed!
Well being a student and all means not that big of a budget for the monitor: samsung 2232 22" main and a 17" parking monitor(for sideactivities)
when I get in the big money, after my study I will be forced to buy a dell ips monitor 30... just because I can!
Anyone here play games on a projector? My whole wall is the screen. A few beers and the DLP stobe and low res issues go away and it's all cool.
Great for two player games on a console.
rburton curesed you say? that was an expensive option when the D830 was purchased. I have the same screen on mine and get on with it fine. I also have 2* 22" Dell E228WFP running 1680x1050 from d-dock dual display with no issue on the VGA connected one
home is a 22" widescreen LG
work i have 2x19" 5x4s. A Dell and a Samsung
I use a Full HD 50" Panasonic plasma when my wife's not using it as a TV, otherwise I use a 19" Viewsonic VX922. It took me a while to figure out how to get sound from my PC though the HDMI cable.
24" dell, great monitor.
2 x LG 22 inch M228WD 1680 x 1050 res with HDMI, SCART, Component and VGA connectors to boot. Allows me to have my PC, PS3, X360 and Wii to be hooked up at all times.
I have a 24" Hazro tft, does 1920x1200.
Up until last week I was using a 4:3 17" display... but it died. So replaced it with a 20" widescreen Samsung. It's great, although imo a little too big! I use a 19" at work which is just perfect.
28" hannsG 1920x1200
But tbh, i'd prefer one of the 4mp 30" screens.
Also you might want to change the title because in Google chrome it says: QOTD: How Big Is Your P...
Samsung t220 22'' 1680x1200. Beautifull and big monitor
Only 2* 19" (1280x1024) at the moment but possibly 22" soon.
from left to right - hp 19", samsung 22", relisys 19", samsung 32" 720p hdtv
21'', COMPAQ P1100 CRT and very happy.
I just got a 23" Dell SP2309W that is 2048 x 1152.
And I also got an extra Samsung 23" that is 2048 x 1152.
Side-by-side they are crazy and beautiful!
I got a 4870 1GB to hopefully play games at a reasonable frame rate.
Still 2x 19" CRT from Compaq :-(
Hoping to upgrade to 2x 24" flat soon, although it's actually a downgrade color and contrast-wise.
i use a samsung le40a756 40" lcd 1080p for screen 1 and a LG 720p for screen 2 (dual desktop). i would never go back to using a small screen if i can help it unless i had no space. it means i can sit back and relax on my sofa and still see whats going on plus it takes gaming and media in vista to a whole new level. maybe one day they will come out with even higher resolution hdtv's we can only hope!
