Qimonda to pay 10% more for Winbond DRAM in Q3

Qimonda, the former memory business unit of Infineon Technologies that has now spun off, has secured DRAM capacity with Winbond Electronics in the third quarter at prices 10% above the current level, according to sources. Standard DRAM supply has been tight and demand is only expected to increase.
