PSC: DRAM prices to hinge on supply side
Powerchip Semiconductor Corporation (PSC) vice president Eric Tang predicts that supply will be the determining factor in second-half DRAM prices. In a July 23 interview, he predicted that 128Mbit DRAM spot prices would remain at US$3.50-4.00 in the third quarter, but climb to US$4.00-4.50 in the fourth quarter if supply shrinks as anticipated. Several factors stand to limit supply.
