PSC 12" fab kicks off production, 15,000-wafer-per-month capacity by year-end
Taiwan-based DRAM manufacturer Powerchip Semiconductor Corporation's (PSC) first 12" fab formally entered production on May 14, becoming only the fourth 12" DRAM fab worldwide. Monthly production capacity should reach 15,000 wafers by year-end, yielding the largest production capacity among 12" DRAM fabs, said PSC president Michael Tsai at a ceremony on May 13.
