Prices for large-size display panels drop to new lows
Prices for LCD-monitor, notebook and LCD-TV panels fell to new lows recently, according to the Taiwan-based WitsView Technology. With panel prices continually dropping, Taiwan-based panel makers may be forced to lower their financial forecasts for the year, industry sources indicated.
The ASP (average selling price) for 17" LCD-monitor panels fell US$5, and prices of 15- and 19" panels dropped US$10, WitsView said.
