Price cuts grease Palm's new release
Palm Computing has cut prices on all of its handheld computers as it prepares for the release several new models, including its long-awaited first device with a color display.
The Palm IIIe has been marked down from $179 to $149, and the Palm IIIx from $299 to $229. The Palm V is now $329, the Palm Vx $399, while the Palm VII with wireless Internet access has been cut from $499 to $449.
The Palm IIIc with color display, with an expected price of $449, will be released February 20, along with the Palm IIIxe, which will likely go for $249 and replace the Palm IIIx.
