On A Long Leash: A Multifunctional Cable Extension From StarTech

If you're one of those users who wants to keep your monitor, keyboard, mouse and even the speakers away from the computer at distances of 1.8 m (6 ft), 4.5 m (15 ft) or even7.6 m (25 ft), then we recommend the four-in-one extension cable from StarTech. All four of the respective cables are included in this group, letting you keep them neat and tidy and all in one place when setting up your computer.
This provides you with a variety of possibilities. For example, you could decide that you want the computer in a completely separate room and only keep the monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers in your office. Another possible use for this cable extension is for KVM switches (keyboard, video, mouse).
Note, however, that the image quality suffers considerably from the extension of the graphics signals. So for example, if you use the medium-length extension (3 m/10 ft), then you won't get satisfactory image sharpness at resolutions higher than 1152 x 864. So this solution is not appropriate for professional use, but just fine for multimedia applications and games.
