Portege ultraportable packs performance in 0.8 inches
Toshiba's newest ultraportable, the Portege 3110CT, delivers 300MHz of processing power in a package that weighs just 3.1 pounds and is 0.8 inches thick.
A sleek magnesium alloy casing and silver metallic lid houses a 300MHz mobile Pentium II processor, a 6.2GB hard drive, 64MB of SDRAM, a 64-bit graphics accelerator with 2.5MB of integrated video memory, and an integrated V.90 K56flex modem. The notebook has a low power, high contrast 10.4" polysilicon TFT display. It comes loaded with Windows 98 or Windows NT 4.0.
Additionally, the Portege 3110CT has one built-in Type II PC card slot, a Fast Infrared (FIR) port, and a USB port. It comes standard with a 1-year parts and labor warranty.
The Portege 3110CT will be available in July for an estimated price of $2,299. More details can be found at www.toshiba.com .
