Portable Digital Jukebox with 10 GB Hard Drive

The days of lugging around CDs or cassette tapes seem to be waning. If you like your music portable, forgetting about removable media altogether doesn't sound like such a bad idea as long as you can take as many tunes along as you please. e.Digital Corporation seems to be taking portable audio to a new capacity with its Treo 10, a pocket-sized digital music jukebox that is said to store 200 CDs worth of music. The Treo 10 incorporates a 10 gigabyte (GB) embedded 2.5" IBM Travelstar mobile hard disk drive along with a Texas Instruments digital signal processor (DSP). It weighs 9.9 ounces including the carrying case, and has a large backlit LCD display. The standard Treo 10 package retails at $249 through e.Digital's online store and includes Koss portable stereo earphones, an AC adaptor/charger, a mini USB interface cable, a carrying case, a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery for around six hours of playback time, and PC software.
