Nine sacked for using government PCs to access unsavoury websites
According to VNUnet nine employees in the US District of Columbia have been given the heave ho for watching visiting smutty websites on government PCs during work hours.
We are a little shocked that someone would be silly enough to look at porn during work hours, on a work machine, particularly when you work for the government, but hey, we’re not judging.
The sackings follow an investigation into the computer usage habits of those employed by the city’s Office of the Chief Technology Officer.
Apparently one employee who complained that people in the office were downloading pornographic content on their work machines kicked off the investigation, which involved the examination of over 10,000 computers.
