Police bust MySpace-profiled drug gang
Framingham (MA) – Law enforcement agents have busted a Framingham Massachusetts drug gang that sold more than a kilogram of cocaine a week on city streets. 20 members of the Kendall Street Thugs gang now face state and federal cocaine charges. The gang was bold enough to have a MySpace page.
The MySpace profile page had pictures of gang members and police say the gang even tried recruiting members and selling drugs through MySpace.
Police made 35 undercover purchases of cocaine during the three-year undercover investigation, dubbed Operation Thunderdome. Police raids have netted more than a pound and a half of cocaine and approximately $40,000 in cash. Several guns were also seized.
