Pokemon DS pre-orders top 500,000 mark
Redmond (WA) - Nintendo has announced that more than 500,000 copies of the new Pokemon games for the DS have been reserved, more than doubling the amount of pre-orders for the last wave of Pokemon RPG games.
Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl will be the first sequels in the series for the Nintendo DS, and correspondingly, the first entries to have online capabilities.
The two games also are the first DS titles to offer voice chat during online multiplayer, and will be the first to connect to the Wii when Pokemon Battle Revolution is released for the Nintendo home console in June.
The games are already in the hands of retailers and will go on sale on Sunday.
