Pogo makes console debut with Pogo Island for the DS
Redwood City (CA) - Electronic Arts announced today that it has shipped Pogo Island for the Nintendo DS, marking the first time the software giant’s casual online gaming division has made its way to a major non-PC platform.
Though Pogo.com is a site best known for its online gaming community, the DS title is not WiFi compatible. Instead, Pogo Island packages a handful of the site’s one-player games.
Word Whomp, Poppit, Phlinx, Tri-Peaks Solitaire, and Squelchies are the games included in the DS software. They are presented inside a virtual island, which the player must conquer to win the game.
The game is rated E.
