Io-data has a new and very compact external harddrive that is based on a 1.8" device with a thickness of just 9.8mm (full dimensions are 62x102x9.8mm) and a weight of 90g. The other interesting point here is that it has a "Potchi" or "Push" function thanks to a software that you need to install on your computer before using the harddrive. It will allow you to do a complete backup of your machine (limited to the space on the external HDD of course) by pressing a button on the external box. There are two models on the market, one with a 20 GByte drive and one that has a capacity of 40 GByte. Also worth noting is that these disks can be attached to prevent theft.
