For the video or TV encoders amongst us, you know that the best options are hardware solutions. This is Plextor’s most recent video capture card, the ConvertX PVR. It encodes in MPEG-1/2 and 4 thanks to a WISTechnologies GO700SB chipset. It wil be available in July for about $250.
