Playing World of Warcraft on the iPhone
Irvine (CA) – No, Blizzard hasn’t ported World of Warcraft to the Apple iPhone, but Alan Joyce has managed to play the game with the help of some free Google software. Joyce ran WoW on his MacBook Pro and then used Google’s Telekinesis program to stream the video to the phone. The same program transferred iPhone keystrokes back to the laptop.
You can see a demonstration of setup in Joyce’s YouTube video which shows him logging into his character and chatting with his friends (Dude ! I’m playing WoW on my iPhone !).
Joyce doesn’t actually go out and kill anything in the video, but we are sure he’ll have that figured out in a few weeks.
