Planar's Rotating Flat-Panel Monitors

I'm surprised that more companies don't produce monitors that twist around so that they are taller than they are wide. Especially in the smaller sized screens, rotating like those old Macintosh monitors can come in handy if you're trying to fit a whole page on screen to see how it will print. If you're looking for such a gadget, Planar Systems thinks it's got you covered with its new 15- and 17.4" flat-panel monitors that let you rotate the display from landscape to portrait viewing and include USB hubs and built-in speakers. The units can be ordered in a range of exterior colors, including translucent red, blue, clear, white, and black (ahhh, candy colors. You're gaming friends will never leave you alone unless you go for black). Planar's 15" PV150 supports resolutions up to 1,024 x 768 (XGA) and is said to have a viewable area equivalent to a 17" CRT monitor. The 17.4" PV174 is capable of 1280 x 1024 (SXGA) resolution and features analog and digital inputs. But who the heck is that guy in the picture? It kinda looks like one of those old ELSA ads.
