Disney Online working on Pirates of the Caribbean MMO
Disney Online is working on a massively multiplayer online game based on the Pirates of the Caribbean universe. The game will allow players to form pirate crews, customize their human or undead pirate and even hunt for buried treasure.
Images and a playable version will be shown off at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles. Players will be able to interact with popular movie characters like Jack Sparrow, Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann. While you would think that such a game from Disney Online would only be targeted at kids, Disney says that Pirates of the Caribbean MMO will be targeted at both kids and adults.
Pirates of the Caribbean MMO should be available in 2007 and like other MMOs, require a monthly subscription fee.
