Pinnacle Studio authors MPEG CDs
Pinnacle Systems Inc. has introduced Studio MP10, an advanced MPEG CD authoring solution that allows users to capture compressed MPEG-1 video, add audio and special effects, edit it, and output the finished movie to a CD, video tape, or the Internet.
Studio MP10 plugs into any PC's printer port for fast, easy installation and allows users to capture video from any source, including camcorders, VCRs and DVD players.
Using the Studio software's cut-and-paste editing features, users can easily to select the best shots, arrange them in any order, add titles, scene transitions, music, narration, and special effects, Pinaacle officials said.
The product has several innovative features, including "scene recognition" - Studio automatically detects the beginning and end of each video scene and creates a separate clip for it in an album for easy drag-and-drop editing.
Studio MP10 is compatible with Pentium PCs running Windows 95 or Windows 98, and is now available with a suggested retail price of $269.
