Philips makes stamp-sized screen
The Dutch Philips Electronics has announced a soft plastic computer display that uses a semiconductor based on plastic rather than silicon. The 3.5-square-centimeter, 64 pixel by 64 pixel, plastic screen refreshes 100 times per second. Plastic chip technology is cheaper than silicon and could make the product viable in a range of mobile and flexible products.
