Sources at Intel's Qiryat-Gat plant have leaked to the Israeli paper Haaretz that the facility is having trouble fine-tuning Pentium 4 chip production. The story says that the new chip fabrication equipment needed to optimize production of the P4 was delivered late and that yields are running ten percent lower than the 80 percent that was typical for the Pentium 3.
