Panasonic and Vizio offer $1000 42" PDP TVs
Both Panasonic and Vizio have cut prices of their 42" PDP (plasma display panel) TVs to $1000 in the North American market, according to industry sources. Panasonic (the brand name of Matsushita Electric Industrial) has lowered prices of its 42" PDP TVs from $1300 to $1000 to help clear out a general inventory of 300,000 PDP TVs, other sources said.
