Global PDP shipments hit record high in Q3
Global PDP (plasma display panel) shipments rose 37 percent sequentially to 1.9 million units last quarter, which represents a 120 percent on year growth and a historical record number, according to DisplaySearch. PDP makers are expected to ship 6.8 million units this year, up nearly 90% from 3.6 million units in 2004.
