HighPoint X4 SATA Storage Enclosure

The low-entry price for the RocketRAID 2322 was attractive - if it weren't for the additional costs created by the X4 SATA Storage Enclosure. It's a nice product that allows operating your RAID hard drives in an independent box, but we're not sure if this is always wanted or even necessary when using only four drives.
Anyways, the enclosure works great: Status information is transferred to the controller card via an RJ11 phone-type cable. The unit has its own power switch, so you can turn it off completely - if wanted. An 80 mm fan takes care of proper drive cooling, but the fan doesn't operate as quietly as it could. Thanks to a little handle on top of the unit; carrying the X4 SATA Storage Enclosure from one location to another is a piece of cake.
