PCI card brings USB ports to older PCs
Best Data Products has announced a PC card product for adding Universal Serial Bus connectivity to PCs which were manufactured without it.
Best's USB-PCI product allows users to take advantage of USB benefits by using a single PCI card slot to provide two USB ports.
The USB-PCI card will be available immediately via retails stores and catalogs. It is expected to be sell for $29.95.
USB technology allows users to choose from an expanding range of high speed peripherals, and to plug or unplug those peripherals without having to reboot or reconfigure their systems. A USB bus supports the simultaneous connection of up to 128 devices operating at up to 12Mbps.
