PC World tests Rambus

by - source: Tom's Hardware

In head-to-head tests against the standard and less expensive SDRAM memory, Rambus failed to deliver price performance. The test was run on identically configured PCs running Pentium III PCs, except for memory type, from various vendors. PC World speculates that there may be advantages to the Rambus when more complex software combined with more demanding Intel CPUs hit the market but also raised the possibility that DDR SDRAM might provide even more performance for the money.
