PC sector to rebound in September, boosting demand for computer cases

September could breathe some life into the stagnant PC case sector as demand surges from Intel's latest chip price cut, computer case makers predicted. After the cut was pushed up to September 1 from October, the companies noticed that PC vendors' buying grew conservative in the latter half of July and they deferred most orders. The impact, however, recently was tempered by OEM clients restocking to prepare for the fourth-quarter peak season. Taiwanese case makers Enlight and Wei Shun Enterprise were bullish about sales growth starting next month and already passed EMI (electronic-magnetic interference) and thermal (heat dissipation) testing for new cases, in time for Intel's November release of 3GHz processors.
