PC Card Adapter reads six different media formats
New York (NY) - Sandisk offers notebooks users a new combo-solution to read and write popular storage cards through one interface. The new 6-in-1 PC Card adapter works with SD, MultiMediaCard, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, xD-Picture Card, and SmartMedia.
As previous models, the PC Card adapter with connected storage media is recognized by the notebook as a removable hard drive. Instead of connecting USB cables to a digital camera cell phones or MP3 plyers, users can just plug the media card into the adapter of the PC card and transfer files at higher speeds than USB, for example.
The adapter does not require driver software and connects to SD, MultiMediaCard, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, xD-Picture Card, and SmartMedia. Sandisk offers a separate adapter as well its USB-based ImageMate media card reader for reading and writing CompactFlash cards.
The new 6-in-1 adapter replaces the previous model (4-in-1) and is priced at $30.
