PayPal headquarters bombed

by - source: Tom's Hardware

PayPal’s San Jose headquarters was bombed Tuesday night. The bomb had been placed outside the conference center exit and the blast shattered one window in the four-story 100,000 square-foot building. Twenty-six employees were inside the building, but no one was hurt.

Even though employees called 911, the fire department was already responding because the explosion activated the broken glass sensors and smoke alarms. All employees were quickly evacuated, but returned to work in the morning.

PayPal specializes in online money transfers, mainly dealing in online auctions. eBay, the online auction company, purchased PayPal back in 2002.
