Palm to Release new Tungsten C Handheld
Reliable sources reported that Palm Inc. would release its new Tungsten C handheld before the first of May. The Tungsten C will be the first heldheld with the Palm brand that uses an Intel Xscale processor. Staples retail stores reported that the Tungsten C was entered into the company ordering system last month, with a retail price of $499.99 US. The Tungsten C is reported to feature 802.11b wireless Internet technology. Palm's Tungsten W handheld featured wireless data communications uses Global System for Mobile Communications/General Packet Radio Service (GSM/GPRS) technology. Neither Intel nor Palm issued any comment on the Tungsten C.
