Palm Launches New $99 PDA
Palm, Inc. has released a new personal digital assistant (PDA) to appeal to the consumers who jot all of their important data on scraps of paper and in notebooks and planners. "Zire", Palm's new `bare bones' version of PDA, reportedly holds 6,000 addresses and 5 years of appointments. Zire is primarily being marketed at small business owners, students and' soccer moms' who have to juggle schedules to get their jobs done. Retailing for only $99. US, Palm plans to sell the majority of its Zire PDAs at retail stores Target and Radio Shack near the check-out cashiers.
