Palm-size PCs bundle-up with AvantGo.com

Casio Inc. has announced the availability of AvantGo.com service on the latest releases of the Casio Cassiopeia E-15 and E-100 Windows CE PCs.

AvantGo.com is a free online service designed to deliver interactive and personalized content and applications to Casio's mobile devices, which are based on the Microsoft Windows CE operating system.

Using AvantGo.com, Cassiopeia users can access a varity of information services, such as the latest news from the New York Times, stock quotes from Bloomberg and city-specific entertainment listings with Real Cities.

The Cassiopeia E-100 is the world's smallest pocket 16MB multimedia player, and the first Windows CE-based color release from Casio. The unit features a 240-by-320 TFT color LCD screen with 65,536 colors, allowing the users to view movies, browse the web and listen to music using various Windows CE software applications.

The device is based on a 131MHz NEC microprocessor, and features a CompactFlash Card TypeII card slot, serial port, stereo headphone jack, microphone/speaker, optional serial cable, and and wireless data exchange via IrDA 1.0.

The Cassiopeia E-15 is a 16MB, gray-scale model based on a 69MHz NEC microprocessor.
