Coca-cola.
Coca-Cola was originally promoted as a health drink that could cure things such as morphine addiction, headaches and impotence. It also once contained trace amounts of cocaine, which were a left over from the coca leaves used in making the drink, though all traces of the drug have since been removed. *cough* Today it is the most popular carbonated drink in the world, ubiquitous and all pervading wherever you go.

As an energy drink it contains caffeine and sugar, and so is probably the nicest energy drink going, if you happen to be a Coke drinker. It'll probably rot your teeth and dissolve your stomach if you drink it all working week, but then again such is life.

As you can see Coke doesn't do much. Like tea, it's a drink you have to be knocking back constantly to see much in the way of results.
The Buzz
Drink Coca-Cola (I'm stating fact here, not advertising for them...) enough and you'll get a buzz, but unfortunately not the type you need. Coke makes one hyper and has you on your feet and moving around, and not just because you may need to use the little boys' room.
The Other Stuff
One interesting thing about Coca-Cola is that the flavor changes depending on where you are and what you're drinking it out of. Coke in a can is a slightly different mixture from Coke in a plastic bottle, and if you go overseas things get even more complicated. So finding a Coke that suits you can require some testing. For example, I think that the Coca-Cola we get here in Ireland in plastic bottles is far too watered down; I much prefer drinking either from a can or from a glass bottle.
There are probably some good reasons not to constantly drink something that can be used to clean pennies but it's up to you to read into the health concerns behind drinking any of the beverages here. Ohh, and Santa Claus is not red because of Coca-Cola, they just got lucky.
In Conclusion
...Coffee is great, Red Bull is expensive and Santa is red.
