Carphone Warehouse bans over-70's without supervision from Internet
The Carphone Warehouse has decided that it won’t be selling broadband services to the over-70’s unless they’re accompanied to the shop by a young whippersnapper to explain the small print to them.
Carphone Warehouse employees apparently told 75 year old Mrs Greening-Jackson that "It’s company policy. We don’t sign anyone up who is over 70." Upon investigation and arm twisting by the oh-mighty It must be said in the defence of the Carphone Warehouse (boo ! Hiss !) that they claim to have introduced the policy after being accused last year of mis-selling products to older customers. Which accusation gets us going more ?
