OnStream unveils 70GB tape drive
OnStream has announced a 70GB tape subsystem that provides up to 4MB/sec speed and multi-platform support.
The ADR70 digital tape drive, priced at $999, is read- and write-compatible with 30GB, 50GB and 70GB ADR cartridges.
Expected to ship this fall, the ADR70 will support operating system platforms such as Windows NT, Novell Netware, Linux, UNIX and others.
The device's Wide Ultra2-compatible SCSI-3 interface integrates LVD (Low Voltage Differential) technology to assure greater signal integrity for faster and more reliable data transfers.
ADR70 70GB tape cartridges will sell for $69.95 each.
